Sheila Richardson - Director/Franchisee
Sheila Richardson's Arthur Murray life began Mar. 6, 1970 in San Diego, CA, where she trained, taught, loved and learned everything about the dance business. She has trained thousands of student amateur dancers and hundreds of professionals, she has danced in numerous shows and competitions, with both amateur and professional partners. Sheila has won many awards for excellence in dancing, as a top instructor and as a top executive over her 30 plus years with the Arthur Murray Studios. Her real pride falls in the entrepreneur category, becoming a franchisee/ owner operator on May 1, 1973, purchasing her first Arthur Murray studio in Riverside. She then opened the San Bernardino Studio in 1978, and moving that same San Bernardino studio, lock, stock and barrel, to Redlands in 1988. She and her husband, Russ, has accumulated their successes with the Redlands Studio into some really banner years, finishing 2001 in the top 12 studios world wide and receiving the Studio of the Year award. In 2002 they finished eighth, and receiving yet another Studio of the Year award, plus winning the ultimate Grand Champion award for the first part of 2003. Sheila is dedicated to help, not only her own students and teachers, but all the schools. Under her newest title of District Leader she holds training meetings with all the Southern California Teachers and Executives. Sheila is very proud of the Redlands Studio and Staff, being #1 in California, and #2 in the world is a wonderful feat for a small town girl that just loved to dance.
Russ Richardson - Manager/Franchisee
Russ started in 1975 as a student. After winning competitions as an amateur, he entered a teacher training program, and became an instructor in 1976. Russ progressed in, specializing in teaching new students, becoming head of the new student department, then supervisor and now manager. Currently, he is the marketing director and administrator. He also manages the structure and logistics at the 4th year running VIP awarded studio.
Katrina Rodriguez - Supervisor/Dance Director
Katrina has danced all her life, and is priviledged to be able to share her love of dance with others. She is a certified instructor and has won numerous awards for her dancing including Future Champion in Waltz, Tango, Rumba, and Cha Cha. She is currently ranked 2nd in the entire world at her job and has always finished the year in the top five. She was awarded the Rookie of the Year her first year with Arthur Murray. One of her favorite things to do is perform in shows: this is where all her personality really shines through. Katrina is the Arthur Murray Rising Star Rhythm Champion, and has also won the Top Counselor award in the Tournament of Champions 2005.
George Estrada - Counselor
George comes from an extensive dance and theatrical background. He started dancing at the age of 14, mainly focusing on jazz and hip-hop. While studying dance at Cal State Northridge, George also took lessons at Millenium Dance Complex, learning the latest dance moves from some of the top choreographers in the hip-hop industry. His experience and ability has taken him to finalist on the hit MTV show "The Wade Robson Dance Project", as well as placing regularly in the top three at various salsa competitions. Recently, George has won the Top Teacher and Top Specialist award in the Tournament of Champions 2005.
Tiffany Collins - Specialist
Tiffany began dancing ballet at three years old. She performed and competed throughout her childhood, and has developed this knowledge into becoming a teacher. After working with children and adults for years, she has found herself in the Arthur Murray family.
Drew Rodriguez - Specialist
Music and dance have always been a big part of Drew's life. In high school, he pursued his love of performance through both theater and choir. Following in his family's footsteps, Drew started ballroom dancing. He found it fun and exciting, and now aims to share it with the world!
Tavio Morales - Instructor
Tavio has enjoyed dancing since his childhood, and enjoys sharing his love and passion of dance with a great variety of people. He has competed in many Pro/Am competitions and finishes frequently in the top three places with his students. He also has placed high professionally, scoring 4th in the Rhythm Future Champion competition at the Unique Dance-O-Rama. Tavio has received 1st place Instructor in the Tournament of Champions for 2003-05, and is the Arthur Murray Rising Star Rhythm Champion.
Joe Erickson - Instructor/Webmaster/Guest Director
Joe began dancing at 10 in the Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Redlands. Since then, he has become certified in both dance teaching and computer networking. He has won first place awards in pro-am competitions with his students, and has participated in various shows and exhibitions. Joe has won Top Instructor awards in the Tournament of Champions for 2003-06, as well as won the Open Smooth Championship held in Verona, Italy.
Regina Erickson - Instructor
Regina began studying dance at the age of four, focusing on ballet, jazz, tap, and ballet folklorico. During high school, she participated in choir, drama, and musicals. From there, she went on to become the captain of her dance team, and top choreographer, focusing on swing, merengue, and hip hop. She was awarded top Female Specialist for the Area as well as for the Tournament of Champions 2005.
Jonathan Seals - Instructor
Jonathan began dancing early in his childhood, learning first from his family and later becoming well versed in jazz, ballet, hip hop, liturgical dance, and ballroom styles of dancing. He went on to become the captain of his high school dance team, as well as the lead choreographer in his studio dance team. Jonathan has won the San Francisco Future Champions competition in Smooth and Rhythm.
Michael Eastin - Instructor
Michael was introduced to the world of dance in college, where he started at RCC and continued to teach in Orange County. His pursuit of perfection in dance, coupled with his drive and passion has brought him here to Arthur Murrays. Michael has won the Arthur Murray Future Champion Smooth competition.
Raquel Urquizu - Instructor
Raquel was born in Fontana and has been dancing at twelve years old. From performing in front of her family, through high school, and into the world of Arthur Murray. Since joining, she has won the Future Champions competition in both Smooth and Rhythm dancing.
Nicole Rubalcaba - Instructor
Nicole's comes from a long history of dancers and musicians. Dancing and performing since childhood, she has brought that energy into our studio where she is ready to help anyone have a great time!
Marcia James - Instructor
Marcia has had extensive training in ballet and modern dance. After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance, she has made her way to Southern California where she found the Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Redlands. Marcia has won the Arthur Murray World Future Champion competition in smooth dancing.
Allison Smith - Instructor
Allison discovered dancing in college, training in jazz, modern, hip-hop, lyrical, and ballroom. Here she found her true love for ballroom dancing, and knew that being an instructor was the only way to express this love to the world. Since working with Arthur Murray, Allison has won the Future Champions Smooth competition in Las Vegas.
Jacob Little - Instructor
Dancing has always been an important part of Jacob's life. Once he discovered Arthur Murray, he found a way to share the unique experience he has always felt. He can't wait to help people grow and develop into the dancers they want to be!
Cristal Garcia - Office Manager
Cristal was born in London, England. She found her way down to California when she was 11, where she found that she was an excellent office worker. She loves her job here because its not the usual stuffy middle-aged office environment, but she can still exercise her talent for paper pushing! Plus, who wouldn't want to manage an office where people are dancing all day?
Stephanie George - Office Staff
Stephanie has a background in hip-hop, jazz, and ballet. She has worked for different companies, but Arthur Murray has given her the ability to see all the different types of people who are passionate about dance. She loves the form and the opportunity to grow with the team!
Budley - Mascot
"Bud" is the heart and soul of the Redlands Arthur Murray studio. He can often be seen roaming the offices, or sometimes even the dance floor. He also won't hesitate to stop near a total stranger in the studio and say "hello".
